11-28-19 and 11-29-18 Agenda

Homework:
  • Read To Kill a Mockingbird chapters 14 and 15. Do your reading guide questions. These are due in two class periods.
     (12-4 for EVEN and 12-5 ODD)
  • Last chance #18 assignment packet (Due next class period. See me if you need handouts. I will be in tutorial the next two days.)

Due today:
  1. page 690 essay (Extension: Due by midnight in Turnitn.com)
  2. Last day for no penalty to turn in TKMB Chapter 8-11 Questions and Naviance packet with DOK 3?s
  3. Participation all period

Agenda:
1. TKMB warm-up #2: Write a detailed response with your opinion and and an example from TKMB.
Question: Essential Q.3 Question (What principals are worth fighting for?) 

2. Watch TKMB DVD and make a double-bubble compare and contrast bubble-map. List at least two similarities and four total differences. One example for each section is given in class. You are excused from this activity if you were absent with an excused absence. 

3. KWL (Start your KWL chart on Jim Crow Laws)
What do you know? You can use examples from To Kill a Mockingbird and write at least one DOK 3? for W. Then, read your assigned page, collaborate with your group and write down something you learned or (re-learned) from the reading. Each group # corresponds to the page #. Be ready to read your page and share out next class period. A full copy is in Google classroom for you to read if you want since were are using a CLASS COPY in class. (Jigsaw Puzzle)

Remember to try to arrive to class on time, be ready to work, participate all period, have a positive attitude, be nice to others, be nice to Ms. O and do your best! We only have a few more weeks left this semester until Winter Break :)
